Pokémon GO Round Up 14

pokemongoPokémon GO has been a bit of an experience.  I know that the chance for certain Pokémon to appear in certain places is high or low.  I know that I won’t necessarily catch all the Pokémon sticking to my regular paths, but at the same time that makes the different Pokémon that much more special.  Fortunately, I go to different areas sometimes.  You’ll know I live in a very populated area, so I run into all sorts of things.

If you’re interested in Pokémon GO, you can purchase the app directly by clicking the image to the left.

Last time we left was quite a long time ago.  Part of that is because I honestly forgot I had the app, and the second is that my partner Maus seems to have lost a bit of interest in the game.  I think that’s more because it’s been so cold outside, but it’s warming up now!  Maybe we can once again go on hunts.  I also got a phone upgrade since last time I posted.  I have an iPhone 7+ now, and it is sooo nice.  The screen is bigger, and it doesn’t die in the cold.  I even got a nice leather case for it… I’d take a photo of my phone, but that’s a little difficult since my phone is my camera.

I finally was able to walk around my home town for a while today and explore the new lands of Pokémon.  Turns out the Pokémon GO Frappucino at Starbucks doesn’t have any caffeine in it, so I’m back to my usual… a trente iced coffee with light ice, light breve, and no sweetener.  One thing of note is that since last time I posted, I gained a level!  Here it is:

I also found six new Pokémon in my travels, which was exciting.  There are so many more pokémon out now with the added expansion.  First was the Swinub:

And then, a 362 point Sudowoodo.  Pretty cute little bugger:

A 48 point Slowpoke:

A 35 point Natu:

A 96 point Murkrow:

And a 247 point Poliwhirl!

The new Pokémon are funny, it’s interesting to see what somebody somewhere came up with.  I gathered all my screenshots of caught Pokémon since last time I updated, which was a looong time ago.  What I usually do is find the best pokémon of a particular type and then post that pic.  I’ve caught WAY more than are posted here, these are just the best so far.  Here they are:

I’ve decided that my new morning routine while it’s summer, that is the days I’m not working at my job in the morning, where I have to leave at 10:30, I’m going to take a walk and play Pokémon GO.  It’ll help me from dozing on the couch in the morning, and maybe I’ll even rake in some extra experience now that they’re doing those daily streak things.  You know, first pokéstop streak, catch streak, etc.  Tomorrow I teach my nephew more Python, or at least get him through the Python book I got him about programming arcade games.  Then it’s back at my job again.

Gotta catch ’em all!
